The Pianet T plugin captures the authentic charm of the classic 1970s electro-mechanical piano. This model replicates the unique sound produced by the original instrument’s innovative mechanism. Unlike other pianos, the Pianet T doesn't use hammers; instead, it features NASA-patented pink plastic suction pads that engage the reeds, causing them to snap back and vibrate. The vibrations are then transformed into electrical signals via small coils, similar to those in guitar pickups, creating its signature retro sound.
The plugin uses an advanced modeling technique, reconstructing the intricate sounds generated by the coils using numerous sine waves. To capture the unique tonal character of the Pianet T, the model sometimes requires over 100 sine waves, accurately reproducing the instrument’s complexity. To ensure smooth performance and low CPU usage, an enhanced version of a mathematical formula by the seventh-century Indian mathematician Bhāskara Ⅰ is applied. This sophisticated approach seamlessly combines ancient techniques with twentieth-century innovations from NASA, delivering a faithful recreation of the original instrument.
Martinic has integrated additional features to expand the Pianet T’s capabilities:
The Pianet T plugin includes several built-in effects to enrich the playing experience:
The Pianet T plugin is protected with a FastSpring-generated license key file, ensuring security without the need for a dongle or online activation.
Martinic’s ACE® modeling technique guarantees the highest quality and most accurate recreation of analog instruments and effects. When you see the ACE® logo, you can be confident you’re experiencing the best in vintage instrument emulation.
